Repent

Act 17:30-31: Though God has overlooked those times of ignorance, he now commands everyone everywhere to repent, because he has set a day when he is going to judge the world with justice through a man whom he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.

To repent is to accept the things you have done wrong and those which have offended others including God. The scripture is clear that a person should repent of their actions and be forgiven. This is repeated in every encounter where we offended.

The problem is in telling the Gospel we are so concerned about saving a soul; yet not stressing that without repentance there can be no salvation. The opening word of Jesus was ‘repent the Kingdom of God is at hand’. This command needs to be obeyed and we need to be aware of the great need for a repentant heart; for without it we are lost.

Be encouraged today and repent of what you have done wrong and offended others.

Point to ponder: Repentance is the path to forgiveness.

Question to consider: Would you forgive someone that has not repented?
