Psalm 16:5: The LORD is my inheritance and my cup; you support my lot.
When we read the Psalms we often read them as the prophetic words that refer to Jesus and the impact of them on Israel. Yet we also need to know as those who believe in Jesus and love Him; we become co-heirs of the Kingdom of God. Consequently we can say with the Psalmist that the LORD is my inheritance and my cup; you support my lot.
Our inheritance is something that we have and cannot be taken away; we inherit the Kingdom of heaven! As we think of “my Cup” what does it mean; this in my interpretation means all that defines me. This cup is just me and all that this means to me; it is personal and real that makes me unique; like no other: sins and all; forgiven and saved!
Be encouraged to be just you in the inheritance of your faith.
