Come; the Lord calls
Isaiah 55:1: The LORD says, “Come, everyone who is thirsty— here is water! Come, you that have no money— buy grain and eat! Come! Buy wine and milk— it will cost you nothing!
We all expect to pay a price for what we want or need; nobody will give you something for nothing. What is difficult to understand is that in the kingdom of heaven one does not pay for anything. So when the Lord calls us to come we do not have to pay as gold; silver or money has no value to buy what the Lord offers.
How may one put a price on anything; when whatever the price we have nothing to offer? When all things are available and yours to use; then how do you buy it? The answer is to come to the Lord and accept both Him and what He offers us.
Be encouraged today that throughout Scripture the Lord calls and provides for those who believe in Him.
David
Point to ponder: The Lord calls and provides.
Question to consider: Have you thought or imagined what it would be like to be in heaven?
